Hotel Folgosa Douro - Armamar

The room was modern, clean, and had an very nice view of the river. Breakfast blew me away with fresh pastries and great scrambled eggs. The staff was super friendly and gave us awesome tips for exploring the area. Can't wait to come back 😊

Hotel was comfortable modern and gorgeous, I liked the stay.

Everything was amazing, magnificent location really close to the vineyards in the background and the many local wineries, RELAXING experience. The breakfasts here were very very good with a plentiful supply of orange juice, fresh fruits plus croissants. There was free Wi-Fi in the rooms and the service in general was fantastic.

The service at this hotel was phenomenal. Staff members went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The hotel sits right across the street from the river and boasts very nice views.

The only thing that was missing was that the hotel is not within walking distance of many shops or restaurants. It is a bit remote, which can be great if you want peace and quiet, or not so great if you want to be in the center of the action.

We faced several inconveniences, such as the isolation of the hotel. Our room had an amazing terrace overlooking the river, yet it lacked furniture, disappointing. While we enjoyed the complimentary port wine, the limited dining options forced us to miss out on sampling local delicacies.

The location of the hotel with the amazing riverside view of Douro river and all the surrounding vineyards landscape. The hotel is new, confortable, with nice decoration, free internet and very helpful staff.

The menu at the restaurant is quite common without presenting many typical Portuguese dishes but with the awarded DOC Restaurant just ahead, competition is not easy and maybe they decided to have an alternative offer.

Very good location for visiting Douro region. Good room and facilities at the hotel. Very good value for money.

Don't miss the really good DOC restaurant nearby. It's a must-visit for lunch or dinner with excellent food.

The room was quite small for my taste, but, let's focus on the fine view, which only partially made up for it. I can't believe there was no welcome gift, a small gesture wouldve, which it sorely lacked. I just couldn't give a good review after those letdowns.

Stunning location; excellent and attentive staff. 30 km from Vila Real airport. Nicely furnished and brand-new rooms with air conditioning and TV, etc.

Great location, front of the river. The Hotel is brand new, very modern equipments and facilites. Very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommended :)

The view from our room was fine, overlooking the

Douro River and the surrounding vineyards. Our large balcony was perfect for enjoying sunsets while sipping complimentary port wine. Dining options were limited, with a pricey restaurant across the street and a local café closing early, slightly inconvenient.

The view from our room was amazing, with the Douro River right in front of us. The spacious accommodation was perfect for our family and our precious dog. We loved exploring nearby wineries and indulging in tasty local wines .

In my wife's opinion, the nearest dining options were a bit far for our kids.

The location is very nice and the room was confortable.

The breakfast could be improved.

The Hotel Folgosa Douro is a very nice hotel very well situated between Regua and Pinhao. It's very easy to visit The Douro Region from this hotel. The quality of the services and the cleaness of the rooms are at the top range. The hotel is located in front of the magnificient restaurant doc of the Chef Rui Paula.

The room was amazing, with a big terrace overlooking the douro! The terrace was perfect for sunset views and enjoying the local wine. Breakfast started later and had a good selection. The staff were helpful, providing excellent recommendations for nearby vineyards.
